Joe’s areas of expertise include product development on both medial and pharmacy benefits, formulary design including clinical strategies, running an innovation team focused on next generation health improvements such as digital therapeutics, lean methodologies to improve payer operations and market access consulting. With more than 25 years of pharma and insurance experience he has led teams at Pfizer, Anthem, Aetna/CVS, Humana and is now focused on Innovation and Market Access consulting, leading his company, C4i.
At C4i, he has worked with biopharma, digital health and payers to harness insights from his experiences while coupling with in- depth analysis to differentiate client’s innovation across the access and reimbursement continuum. He loves to work with clients to develop customized strategies and tactics that align with market driven demand. Joe has been a coach and mentor serving as an Executive in Residence (EIR) for Yale Ventures and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saint Joseph, School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies. He has a B.S. in Pharmacy and master’s in business administration from the University of Connecticut, where he is an AMCP Diplomat.
