Jennifer L. Mathieu has extensive experience from her 14 years of healthcare-focused government and policy advocacy, communications, strategy, and research, with more than 18 years in project management, training, and team leadership. As Vice President of Policy and Government Relations for AMCP, Jennifer serves as a principal subject matter expert on federal and state managed care pharmacy issues. She collaborates on AMCP’s policy development while advancing its policy agenda as their lead Capitol Hill representative, acting as a valuable resource for policymakers.
Prior to joining AMCP, Jennifer spent 11 years in the value-based care industry as the head of policy and government relations for Lumeris, an Essence Group Holdings Corporation company. In her role, Jennifer evaluated, analyzed, and advised Lumeris and Essence Healthcare Inc. on legislative and regulatory healthcare and health information technology activity while advocating on behalf of their interests in Congress and the Administration. Jennifer’s early career in population health included roles in human resources, sales and marketing, and market intelligence. Prior to joining the healthcare industry, she gained valuable experience in retail and restaurant management, education, event planning, and academic research.
