Elizabeth Bauer, who goes by Lissa, completed her medical degree at the University of Minnesota where she also joined the United States Navy. She went on to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth. She practiced for 3 years as a general internist before completing her endocrine fellowship at at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where she served as the past fellow-in-training representative for national AACE. She is now practicing as a staff endocrinologist and assistant professor at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Her main endocrine interests are in diabetes and obesity.
