I am a clinical Endocrinologist in the Division of Diabetes/Endocrinology at Scripps Clinic/Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, CA, and am the Endocrinology fellowship program director of our institution as well. In addition, I am a clinical professor of medicine at Scripps Clinic and also an assistant clinical professor of medicine at nearby U.C. San Diego School of Medicine. I sit on the AACE Board of Directors and on a variety of committees including having served as chair or vice-chair. This includes my current role as the vice chair of the Fellows' Engagement Subcommittee. I am the former president of what used to be the California chapter of AACE and served on that organization's Board of Directors for over six years. I also sit on the Council of APDEM (Association of Program Directors in Endocrinology and Metabolism) and am currently the Co-Chair of APDEM's All-in-Match Task Force.
