Jamie Stanfield is the Business and Health Librarian/Online Learning Coordinator at the University of Southern Mississippi. Jamie holds a Master of Art in History, a Master of Library and Information Science and is a Southern Miss Ph.D. student in history, studying Mississippi midwives. Her professional interests include developing the graphic novel collection in her library, with a specific focus on Graphic Medicine.
She is active in the MS Library Association, the American Library Association, the Southern Chapter of the Medical Library Association, and Atmospheric Science Librarians International. In 2021, Jamie and two university colleagues received the Will Eisner Graphic Novel Innovation Grant from the American Library Association’s Graphic Novel Round Table and the Will Eisner Foundation. In her minuscule spare time, she enjoys reading comics, playing World of Warcraft, and watching horror movies.
