Kiara Comfort is a Reference and Instruction Librarian at College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE. She graduated with her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Missouri. Prior to becoming a librarian, she worked in the health care field for nine years.
She is a member of the Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Midcontinental Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MCMLA) where she serves as chair of its Advocacy Committee. She is also Senior Board Member of ICON Library Consortium serving as chair of its Service Project Committee.
Her interests include research on equity, diversity, and inclusion and how libraries can advocate to be more inclusive in their EDI programming.
