Dr. Amanda Haberstroh (she/her) is an early career librarian, having joined Laupus Health Sciences Library (East Carolina University, Greenville, NC) in January 2018. In her previous professional life, Dr. Haberstroh was an instructor of English at the college level. Dr. Haberstroh has earned degrees from the University of North Georgia (B.A. in English; Dahlonega, GA), Auburn University (M.A. and Ph.D. in English; Auburn, AL), and the University of Arizona (M.L.I.S.; Tucson, AZ). Dr. Haberstroh is the chair-elect for the Association of North Carolina Health and Science Libraries (ANCHASL). She has always loved working within the higher education environment, and she has truly felt her professional cup overflows in her role as the liaison librarian to Nursing graduate programs for Laupus. Dr. Haberstroh is passionate about initiatives investigating diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the librarian's role in developing health information literacy for consumers. She lives in Winterville, NC with her husband of 12 years, two daughters, three cats, and two dogs. She enjoys "craft tourism" and is currently deepening her beginning knowledge of crochet techniques.
