Manager, Administrative Operations
University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center
I do not have any relevant financial / non-financial relationships with any proprietary interests.
Sally Bowler-Hill, MA, MSIS, PMP, is the Manager of Administrative Operations at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC). In my job, I manage budget, finance, purchasing, HR, facilities, communications, assessment, and strategic planning for the library. As a former art and antiques appraiser and IT project manager, I have an interest in assessment and collecting institutional data. I lead HSLIC's Assessment Team, which provides assessment services within the library to assist HSLIC's functional units/teams in developing key performance indicators for its resources, education, research, and other activities. I’m interested in studying how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the work landscape for library professionals, which led me to study my own organization’s transition to a hybrid remote/onsite environment. In the future I’d like to expand my research, possibly comparing the experience of faculty and staff working in a hybrid remote/onsite environment at HSLIC to those at other academic health sciences libraries.
