Katie McLean, BA LIT MLIS is an information professional with Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) in Halifax. Katie has worked in a variety of libraries: public, academic, and special. Katie also spent a term researching the history of computing at McGill University as part of the History of McGill Project. At NSHA, Katie’s primary responsibilities are managing and developing content for the Library’s Training and Education Program, coordinating the Library’s web presence and supervising NSHA’s Dickson Building Library. She has also recently taken on a term as Interim Manager for Library Services within NSHA's Central Zone. Katie is an active member of the Maritime Health Library Association (MHLA), the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), the Medical Library Association (MLA) and is International News Editor for MLA News. Katie loves pets, high-quality television, as well as sharing and discussing all the weird and wonderful things the Internet has generated.
