Richard McGowan is the New York University (NYU) Health Sciences Library liaison to the NYU College of Dentistry, with an adjunct faculty appointment to the Department of Epidemiology and Health Promotion. Previously, he was medical research librarian at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and an information services librarian at the University of Illinois-Chicago Health Sciences Library. He received his MLS from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. McGowan has been a member of the MLA Dental Section since 2010.
