Snehal H. Bhatt, Pharm.D., AACC, BCPS, FASHP is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Clinical Pharmacist at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He teaches cardiology, anticoagulation, and clinical pharmacokinetics. His practice is inpatient cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Bhatt has practiced for over 20 years and has maintained his Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist(BCPS) credentials since 2003. As an active member of ASHP, Dr. Bhatt is a content matter expert and faculty member in ASHP’s BCPS recertification and preparatory course, a position he has held since 2015. He represented ASHP on the Joint Commission Technical Advisory Panel for National Patient Safety Goal 03.05.01-Reducing Harm from Anticoagulant Therapy: Update to Include Direct Oral Anticoagulants. He also served on the ASHP Council on Therapeutics for 4 years, serving as Chair in 2019. Dr. Bhatt served on the ASHP Fellow Recognition Committee for three years, completing his role as chair in 2024. He was awarded Fellow of ASHP in 2017. Dr. Bhatt is also actively involved in the American College of Cardiology (ACC). His leadership roles include serving on the Cardiovascular Team (CVT) Leadership Council, serving as the only pharmacist as CV Team Regional Director, and currently serving as the only pharmacist on the ACC Curriculum Design Committee. He was awarded Associate of the ACC in 2018.
