Akilah F. Strawder is a Senior Accreditation Services Associate in the ASHP Accreditation Services Office. Akilah has been working as a lead surveyor for ASHP since 2010, conducting accreditation site surveys for pharmacy residency programs throughout the United States. Akilah earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy in New Orleans, LA. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and an Ambulatory Care Specialty Residency at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, both accredited by ASHP. Prior to coming to ASHP, Akilah was a clinical pharmacist specialist in ambulatory care at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA, where she also served as the residency program director for the ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program in the outpatient setting. In addition to clinical and residency responsibilities, Akilah served on various hospital, local, and national committees. Akilah is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist.
