Meet Mingni, RN on the Ambulatory Support Staff! Mingni grew up in Spokane, WA where she nannied for a family whose mother was a NICU nurse who inspired Mingni to become a nurse so she can go anywhere and see the world. She spent seven years as a travel nurse before she came to Seattle Children’s in 2013. She finds the progression of care as a motivation her work. Mingni has seen children struggle through the most horrible situations imaginable, and then walk out of the hospital later. She shares that there are life changing moments that are found in the daily work of a nurse. “Nurses are given the gift of having lots of practice being in the presence of all kinds of people. It gives you a wide perspective on the world and life, which is invaluable for identity capital.”

Hope. Care. Cure.
About us
Hope. Care. Cure. These three simple words capture what we are here to do. That’s because at Seattle Children’s, compassionate care, breakthrough research and generous donors come together every day for the children, and the families, who need us. Over a century later, we continue to fight relentlessly to make sure there’s no such thing as “out of options” and to make sure kids who “didn't have a chance” can have the childhoods they deserve. At Seattle Children’s, we’re united by a compelling mission: We provide hope, care and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible. #HopeCareCure

Meet Alicia, BSN, RN, CPN, and CRRN at Seattle Children’s North Clinic! When she was a child, she wanted to grow up to become a babysitter because she loved caring for children. As she got older, she knew nursing would be a perfect career where she could care for others and help them on their path to recovery and healing. Alicia graduated from Seattle University and got her dream job in 2016 at Seattle Children’s Rehabilitation Unit where she worked there for 7 years before she transferred to outpatient at Seattle Children’s North Clinic. “I have so many memories of creating special bonds with patients and families, which led to trusting relationships. Establishing connections with patients in various ways, such as engaging in self-care activities like hair braiding, nail painting, listening to music, and outdoor walks, was crucial in creating a sense of comfort and humanity for them.”
