When asked what his favorite project is Kurt Dierdorf responds, “The Next One”. The excitement of designing a project from scratch drives his focus on efficient and effective designs and deliverables. Kurt’s “never stop learning attitude” and desire to pass that knowledge on is what makes him a team player. Well said Kurt. On to the next one! #Alliant #BuildingBetterCommunities #EmployeeSpotlight

Alliant’s Young Professionals Group hosted Bikes and Brews last weekend to celebrate Bike Month. The group, including employee-owners who worked on the project, toured Como Trail. In 2018, the City of St Paul hired us to design the 1.6 miles of the Grand Rounds Scenic Bikeway Trail between Raymond and Hamline Avenue, which completed the missing link in the 27-mile trail loop. Everyone enjoyed a well-deserved drink at Dual Citizen after the ride – cheers! #Alliant #BuildingBetterCommunities #YoungProfessional #Culture #BikeMonth

We take our events well done – and the Jacksonville Meat Raffle did not disappoint. Alliant employee-owners enjoyed margs, meats, and merriment in our Jacksonville Survey Garage turned Tipsy Flamingo bar. Do our events keep getting stranger? Yes, yes, they do, and we love it! #Alliant #BuildingBetterCommunities

“The Color of Law” by Richard Rothstein was Alliant’s DEI Committee's first book club read of 2024. An important discussion of residential segregation as a systematic power, the book dives into how these issues still have impacts today. “The book leaves us with the idea that if we are to accept the privileges we didn’t work for, we must also accept responsibility for the negatives of our past and work to create change. In the industry we work in, it’s important to have these conversations so we don’t let history repeat itself.” Said Hannah Johnson, Professional Transportation Planner. #Alliant #BuildingBetterCommunities
