Last week, the Moen Design Center hosted an evening dedicated to sustainable fashion and a celebration of Mission Moen at The Mart in Chicago. The 3rd annual Spring Gala: UPCYCLED! featured upcycled fashion designs by an up and coming Chicago designer, Jocelyn Williams, and raised funds for the Friends of the Chicago River; a non-profit dedicated to the health of the water that runs through the heart of the city. Meet Jake Hohman! Jake is a man with a mission, literally. In addition to his current position as Product Manager, Connected Showering and Faucets for Moen Incorporated, he is also the product lead for Mission Moen, the company's initiative focused on ways to save water and repurpose ocean plastic. “Together, we are actively working towards establishing a sustainable product portfolio with components made from ocean recycled plastic, with a target of utilizing 2,000 tons of ocean plastic by 2030,” he said.
