Dr. Culpepper, Professor of Family Medicine, was the founding Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine. He received an MD from Baylor College of Medicine. He has been President of the North American Primary Care Group (NAPCRG) and Chair of the Research Committee of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM). He received the STFM Excellence in Education and the STFM-NAPCRG Hames Research awards, and the Wood Award for Lifetime Contribution to Primary Care Research and was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 1998. He edits the Primary Care Companion for CNS Diseases. He has >280 publications.
