Brian is the Director of Specialty Clinical Strategy at Magellan Rx Management. Brian earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Rhode Island in 2009 and is a Registered Pharmacist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Prior to transitioning to managed care and joining Magellan Rx in 2016, Brian had previous experience in community and long-term care pharmacy. At Magellan Rx Management, Brian is responsible for developing, implementing, and providing clinical oversight for a variety of clinical programs focused on specialty medications across both the pharmacy and medical benefit. One such program is MRx Cares, a patient management program which strives to improve adherence to specialty medications through patient engagement. Other programs target categories such as hemophilia, immune globulin, rare and orphan diseases, and more. Brian is also an internal and external presenter for Magellan Rx, discussing utilization management and patient engagement strategies for specialty categories, as well as the specialty pipeline.
