Dr. Knight received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2021. His published works focus on the propagation of the Irish language in America in the 19th century. Matthew works extensively with USF's Irish Studies Collection and the Dion Boucicault Theatre Collection, and integrates them in his classes. He teaches "Irish Rebels and Revolutionaries," "The Irish in America," as well as High Impact Practice courses for the Department of History that integrate primary-source research and/or digital humanities projects. The most recent course, “Curating Digital Collections” is taught in the library and involves experiential learning using special collections materials and both 2D and 3D technologies.
