Stephanie Vega started out in nursing at a level I trauma center in Phoenix, Arizona. After 8 years of critical nursing and evidence-based practice projects, she transitioned to a Trauma Performance Improvement role in 2011. Since that time she has worked at both level I and II trauma centers. She is a Colorado trauma designator for Level III-IV trauma centers. She has presented in multiple forums on trauma performance improvement and quality intiiatives. She is the former chair of the Colorado Trauma Network Perfromance Improvement and Registry committees. She is participating in the TQIP Coaching Pilot program as a coach. In addition to her current role, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado.
