Dr. Adam Williams is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Duke University in the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Engineering and the University of Miami School of Medicine. He did his general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital / University of Miami and completed his thoracic surgery fellowship at Duke University. His clinical interests include coronary revascularization, all aspects of aortic surgery including thoracic endovascular repair, valve repair and replacment, and transcatheter valve replacement. His research interests focus on regenerative therapy for the heart and he has extensive experience conducting preclinical large animal studies investigating stem cell and gene therapies.
