SNACC 50th Annual Meeting: RECONNECT

Spring is in the air (somewhere) and we are thrilled to be planning what is sure to be an annual meeting to remember! The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is hard at work, planning our first in-person annual meeting since 2019, with every intent and effort to make it nothing less than a resounding success! This year’s meeting will take place at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, Washington on September 8-10, 2022. Program elements are coming together nicely, including some very cutting-edge and practice-informing speakers and topics, as well as a variety of social (and safe) events which will allow us to “reconnect” with our old colleagues and surely make some new ones.

We are delighted to announce that the keynote speaker, delivering the Maurice Albin Keynote Lecture, will be SNACC Past President Dr. George Mashour. Dr. Mashour is very well known to anyone whose “heart is in the brain” and to all of us who are passionate about perioperative neuroscience. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and an internationally-recognized anesthesiologist and scientist whose groundbreaking work in the fields of the biology of consciousness, spatial brain connectivity under general anesthesia, and large-scale neurological outcomes has literally revolutionized our field. Dr. Mashour’s keynote address will  be about “Consciousness”, and we are thrilled to have such an outstanding and noteworthy keynote speaker for our 50th Anniversary.

We’re also very excited to celebrate 50 years of SNACC, our accomplishments, memorable events, and most of all our beloved
international community. To that end, there will be opportunities to ponder our  past, our present, and our future, including a 50th
Anniversary Gala on Thursday night at a beautiful venue in downtown Seattle. Bring a guest and enjoy an evening of camaraderie, food, and fun in a gorgeous setting! Tickets will be limited, so be sure to register for this once-in-a-lifetime event once available.

Save the date! The SNACC 50th Annual Meeting will be an in-person meeting in Seattle, Washington, on September 8-10, 2022. The meeting will include a limited virtual component, with further details to come, but this is truly an in-person event. This is our opportunity to see each other and interact (finally) in a live setting. So are you ready to “reconnect”? We can’t wait to see you.
