Senior Vice President, Chief People Officer and General Counsel
Silverado

Melissa Solomon, JD
When Melissa obtained her undergraduate and law degrees, she thought she would have a typical legal career in a law firm. But within several years of graduation, she realized her passion for serving vulnerable populations. Melissa knew that personal fulfillment would only come in the right organization, which she found in 2014, joining Silverado as Director of Risk & Legal Affairs. During her time at Silverado, Melissa has embraced the core operating philosophy of Love>fear and built trusting relationships with Silverado leaders. In 2020, she was promoted to VP of Risk & Legal Affairs and Compliance Officer. Melissa has effectively managed Silverado’s compliance program based on integrity, trust, and a commitment to be accessible to all Silverado associates. She has been a trusted member of Silverado’s Executive Team. With this expanded role, Melissa has been able to further champion Silverado’s culture through oversight of the Human Resources and Talent Management teams.
Melissa received her law degree from the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia, and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. She began her legal career as staff counsel to The Washington Post Company but transitioned to healthcare upon realizing her passion for purpose-driven work. Immediately before joining Silverado, Melissa spent many years on the legal contracting team for the clinical research organization PRA Health Sciences. During her time at PRA, Melissa worked on dozens of industry-sponsored clinical trials to bring life-saving pharmaceutical interventions to patients across the globe.
Melissa is grateful each day to have a supportive and loving family. She and her husband have two amazing daughters and serve as resource parents for children in foster care. She enjoys traveling with her family and cheering on Arizona State football in her free time.
