Myra Norton joined Arena in November of 2012 after a rich career in data and analytics, and in April 2021 she assumed the role of its CEO and President. Previously, she was the CEO of Community Analytics, an analyst at Northrop Grumman, a senior administrator in the College of Science and Technology at Temple University, and a professor in Mathematics and Statistics at Towson University and the US Naval Academy. Myra has been featured as a speaker and facilitator at several industry events and she has collaborated with researchers from Harvard University, Babson College, University of Virginia, the National Institutes of Health, University of Maryland, and the University of Chicago.
In the community, Myra serves as a member and past chair of the Industrial Advisory Board for the College of Engineering & Information Technology at UMBC; member of the Innovation, Development & Entrepreneurship Advisory (IDEA) Board, which champions innovation and entrepreneurship across Johns Hopkins University; the Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors for TEDCO; the Chair of a Maryland task force to increase support for women entrepreneurs; and the Chair of the BmoreSTEM infrastructure workgroup, working with public and private entities to increase access and retention of students in STEM fields. She mentors college students and young professionals in the Baltimore area.
Myra graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Math Education and received an MA in Mathematics and an MS in Statistics at Temple University.
