Stem Cells, Tissue engineering, and 3D models. These technologies are advancing fast. Development and validation of models involve not only engineering but appropriate cell types derived from stem cells. Merging of tissue engineering tools and sophisticated biology with iPS cells enable tissue and organ cultures for more predictable in-vivo data in humans. Advances in these disruptive technologies would validate these tools for use in successful preclinical discovery and translation into the clinic. In this session, we will have two leading experts in this field present their work. After each talk, there will be a chance for discussion with Q&A from the audience. Active participation with audience on the advantages, disadvantages and future developments is highly encouraged.
