Student
University of Missouri-Kansas City
I have been actively involved in teaching and research through years of experience in India and the United States. My Ph.D. research at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy has helped me tremendously to learn advanced research methodologies and approaches using state-of-the-art technologies and instrumentation under the esteemed supervision of Professor William Gutheil. I am using LC-MS technology for drug target-identification and mechanism-of-action (MoA) studies.
I have 15 years of academic experience where I have authored more than 20 publications on the fundamental understanding of the mechanism of action and in-vivo and in-vitro evaluation of pharmacological activities of compounds of synthetic, semisynthetic, and herbal origin. My Ph.D. projects can potentially help to identify key metabolites, proteins, and genes responsible for the development of resistance which in turn can assist to find ways to better treat bacterial infections and can improve the quality of life globally.
