Usha Narayanan is a Senior Scientist at X-Chem Pharmaceuticals, Waltham, Ma. She has been at X-Chem for 3 years. Before joining X-Chem, she worked as a Scientist at Takeda Pharmaceuticals for 15 years. At Takeda, Usha was a key cell biologist in the Molecular and Cellular Oncology department. In the course of her career, Usha has contributed to the research of several oncology targets, one of which is in the clinic, the novel NAE (Neddylate Activating Enzyme) inhibitor, Pevonedistat.
Usha has also contributed to studying drug resistance, apoptosis, DNA damage, hypoxia among other cellular pathways contributing to cancer research.
At X-Chem Pharmaceuticals, Usha works as a scientist in the Biophysics and Biochemistry department contributing to several partner collaboration projects leading to identification of hits using the DNA encoded chemical screening libraries (DEL).
