Associate Principal Scientist
AstraZeneca R&D, Sweden
I’m a cell biologist, currently working as an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca. My focus is on early drug discovery and I develop screening strategies, cell assays and drive projects to develop novel technologies and improve our processes in assay development. My background is in cardiovascular research and I have a PhD in cardiovascular prevention with focus on cell biology and intracellular signaling and that is where I found my passion of science that has followed me since then. This is also the time when I got experience with the pharmaceutical industry that guided me to continue to work with drug discovery. I have a passion for the science behind the drug discovery process and love to see that what I work with in the lab can translate into value for patients. In addition, I thrive in the collaborative spirit of working in a global company with a common goal.
