Sohyung Lee is a PhD candidate in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UCLA. She majored in chemical engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea and received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in 2012 and 2014, respectively. During her master's degree, her research focused on micro/nano-patterning of organic/inorganic materials for solar cell applications. She worked in Samsung Material Research Center from 2014 to 2017 as a research engineer. As a PhD student, she previously worked on 3D bioprinting of vascularized cardiac tissues using elastin based materials. Her current research focuses on high-throughput fabrication of 3D structured microparticles for single cell analysis.
