Hester Bange obtained her Master degree in 2016 from Leiden University which focussed on 3D in vitro assays for early stage drug testing for Polycystic Kidney Disease. Afterwards, she started as Scientist at OcellO BV (now Crown Bioscience NL), which offered her the opportunity to pursue a PhD as well as commercialize the assay she had co-developed during her Masters. Hester now heads the Cystopathic diseases group at Crown Bioscience NL , which develops 3D in vitro screening assays for polycystic kidney disease and cystic fibrosis for commercial use.
