Robert Nishikawa, Ph.D., FAAPM, FAIMBE, FSBI, FSPIE is Professor of Radiology, at the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics in 1990, from the University of Toronto. While at the University of Chicago, he developed computer-aided diagnosis systems for mammography. Now at the University of Pittsburgh, his research centers on breast imaging technologies, including how new technologies affects radiologists' performance and optimal ways to implement artificial intelligence tools into breast imaging. He has over 200 publications in breast imaging. He has won 24 awards including two for “best” paper, two for innovation, and one for teaching.
