Mary Scott Soo, MD is a Professor of Radiology in the Division of Breast Imaging at Duke University Medical Center, and a Fellow of the SBI and ACR. As an academic breast imaging radiologist, Dr. Soo has worked at Duke for 29 years, is a former chief of breast imaging, and has extensive patient care and research experience involving breast ultrasound, MRI, interventional techniques, breast implants, and patient support. Her more recent research has aimed to enhance patient experiences and satisfaction during the breast biopsy process, through study of radiologist-patient communication and techniques for reducing patient anxiety and discomfort.
