Overview

This 8-hour course for physicians will focus on building skills in interpreting automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) studies. Faculty will guide participants through a methodical review of 40 ABUS cases. A review of cases will emphasize the quality of image acquisition and identification of the spectrum of common artifacts when using this modality. This course will fulfill the FDA-mandated 8 hours of training in automated breast ultrasound using the 3D platform.

Learning Objectives
1. Describe the role and importance of screening breast ultrasound.
2. Review normal breast anatomy with special emphasis on the coronal image and evaluation of lesions for their benign or malignant features.
3. Discuss commonly encountered artifacts in automated breast ultrasound imaging and describe how to avoid them.

Cancelation Policy
Full refunds, less a $150 administrative fee, will be given provided that written notification of cancelation is received on or before March 1, 2022. No refunds will be given for cancelation after this date.

Physician Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The American College of Radiology and The Society of Breast Imaging. The American College of Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physician Credit Designation
The American College of Radiology designates this live activity for a maximum of 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Technologist Accreditation Statement
The American College of Radiology (ACR) is approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism (RCEEM) to sponsor and/or review Continuing Education programs for Radiologic Technologists and Radiation Therapists.

Instructions to Receive Credit - Radiologic Technologists and Radiation Therapists
In order to successfully complete the activity, participants must attend the live meeting, complete an activity evaluation and claim credit commensurate with their participation in the activity. Radiologic Technologists and Radiation Therapists must validate attendance for the entire duration of a session; no partial credit will be given.
