Lars Blicher is currently the Director for Offshore Wind in Maersk Supply Service. Previously Lars founded Swire Blue Ocean (now Cadeler) and served as CEO of the company for 10 years.
Lars and his team have recently secured contracts for installing the turbines on the Equinor projects Empire Wind and Beacon Wind off the East coast of the US. The contracts have triggered the ordering of a new build jack-up vessel, which will form part of an innovative Jones Act compliant feeder solution together with their US partner Kirby Corporation, which will build, own and operate the US-flagged tugs and barges forming part of the solution.
