Chief Strategy Officer See Change Institute Truckee, California
The lineup of innovative electric vehicles (EVs) is growing quickly, as is consumer interest in these fun and efficient vehicles. Growth in this sector presents significant opportunities to help move us toward electrification and decarbonization goals, and integrate these vehicles into the smart home and overall electric system. However, it also presents challenges for key stakeholders involved: utilities, contractors, and the end-users of EVs themselves.
In this session, we will explore specific opportunities for integration between EVs, homes, and the grid; barriers to scaling EVs; and opportunities for EV solutions, including direct benefits to customers and their contractors. Participants will hear from Uplight - a solution-based firm working on EV integration solutions; See Change Institute - a research and consulting firm that recently uncovered key customer insights in EV charging behaviors post-purchase; and Qmerit - a national contractor firm that has expertise in helping customers navigate charging, electrical, and panel infrastructure upgrades.
By attending this session, attendees will:
Gain an understanding of specific opportunities for integration between EVs, customer homes, and the grid
Be able to identify specific barriers to EVs and the installation of charging infrastructure in customer homes, and will be able to troubleshoot those barriers to support scaling EVs
Discuss the benefits to scaling EVs, both for their lines of business, and for their customers
