The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is promoting strategies to save more energy per project and to become more efficient in operations, particularly the quality assurance function. To inform the national program, two working groups have been developed to focus on deep energy retrofits and remote quality assurance processes. Working groups consist of program administrators such as sponsors and implementers, participating contractors who represent where the rubber meets the road regarding program requirements, and industry experts. This session explores the impetus behind these groups and the issues and potential solutions that have been suggested. Working group participants will share their perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities they foresee as the HPwES program evolves.
By attending this session, attendees will:
Understand likely modifications for the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program
Recognize key elements affecting the design of program-related home improvements
Modify measure offerings to align with DOE objectives for HPwES
