Linda Larsen is the Communications and Education Program Director at SEDAC. She manages several of SEDAC’s workforce and education programs, supervises SEDAC publications, and is the Program Manager for Ameren Illinois Grant Assistance Program. Prior to her work at SEDAC, Linda taught writing classes in the English Department at the University of Illinois. Linda is also the Writing and Research Coordinator of the Education Justice Project’s Reentry Guide Initiative, where she supervises the production and distribution of tens of thousands of reentry guides, providing people leaving prison with tools for self-empowerment. Linda ran an after school program at Urbana Middle School on building sustainable cities for four years. She also collaborates with professors in environmental design fields at the University of Illinois and elsewhere, helping them sharpen their messages, secure funding, and tell their stories to a wider audience. She has co-authored many papers on the human health impact of built environments.
