Multifamily Strategy Manager Franklin Energy Services LLC Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Multifamily housing units can be one of the most challenging audiences to capture energy savings from, but with 21 million US households living in multifamily apartments and communities it is an important market to reach. Strategic Energy Management (SEM) offers an exciting opportunity to form a creative partnership with building owners, property managers, building staff and residents to establish an on-going process to identify and act on energy savings. Successful Multifamily SEM programs have demonstrated, through third-party evaluations, the potential for over 6% total electricity and natural gas savings through low-cost / no-cost operations and maintenance improvements, behavioral changes, and awareness and engagement. This interactive session walks participants through the components and roles of SEM to show the potential for training and mobilizing multifamily property owners to act on opportunities for long-term energy savings.
