Brenda C Matos is a doctoral student and graduate research assistant in Gifted and Talented Education at Purdue University. Brenda completed a master’s degree in Science Teaching and elaborated an eBook to support teachers on enrichment classes in science themes. She is also the vice-president of the Brazilian Council for Giftedness (Directory board 2021-2022). Prior to becoming a doctoral student, Brenda worked with gifted and talented students in Brazil through enrichment clusters in special school. She is specialist in Special Education and taught undergraduate and graduate-level classes in Special Education. She coordinated the Summer Program for Talented students at Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (Brazil). Her research interests include summer programs for gifted students, twice-exceptional students, and underachievement in gifted youth.
