Cristina Worley is a doctoral candidate in the Multicultural Program in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture at Texas A&M University. Specifically, Cristina's research emphasis centers on talent development for Black and Brown students in schools with disproportionate discipline. Her research interests include gifted education and teacher preparation for urban environments. Her experiences include teaching high school English in Title 1 and majority African American charter schools, teaching gifted classes as a specialist in both affluent and poverty-stricken areas, and mentoring undergraduates in human subjects research. She has held a Graduate and Professional Student Government position at Texas A&M as the Diversity and International Affairs Co-Chair and is currently a member of Kappa Delta Pi.
