Jane Loper is a doctoral student at the University of Kansas, where she completed both her undergraduate degree and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Foreign Language education, ESOL and Gifted Education. Her research interests include modifying (or replacing) traditional identification methods used by public school districts in order to more validly identify gifted English language learners (ELLs), as well as how we, as educators, can best meet the wide range of affective needs of all gifted students.
Jane has taught in elementary, middle and high school classrooms and currently consults with families who are navigating the IEP process. She is the proud wife of John and mother of three, the eldest of which has just begun his own Jayhawk journey at KU.
