Lindsay Lee, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at East Tennessee State University. She graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Gifted and Talented Education. Her dissertation focused on evaluating program diversity and the probability of gifted identification with the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking. Most recently, Lindsay was a recipient of the 2021 NAGC Carolyn Callahan Doctoral Student Award for an outstanding degree of scholarship in gifted education. She is currently working on optimizing gifted identification practices on a Jacob K. Javits-funded collaborative project. Lindsay’s research interests include evaluating systemic factors that relate to the development of talent, examining instrumentation and processes involved in equitably identifying advanced students, and cultivating learning environments that develop growth.
