Short description: Graphic texts, such as novels and biographies, are powerful curricular tools that allow teachers to integrate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) with English Language Arts (ELA) standards, especially those that address analyzing content in both words and images. Presenters guide participants as they consider how to use graphic texts to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of gifted elementary students.

Read and analyze a graphic text in order to understand how to integrate SEL with ELA standards
