Short description: Drawing on thirty years of LGBTQ, gifted, and disability literatures, this session presents research-supported teaching approaches for several subgroups of gifted LGBTQ students: those with high-incidence (learning and emotional) challenges, physical (health and orthopedic) problems, and sensory and communication (vision, hearing, speech, and autism spectrum) difficulties. Attendees discuss how to serve these increasingly-noticed ā3eā students.
