Short description: Gifted education coordinators, administrators, and directors serve a fundamental role in delivering both gifted education programs and professional learning for educators. This panel session explores the professional learning acquired by gifted education leaders, the professional learning they develop for others, and recommendations for future gifted education leaders and educational researchers.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will:
Deepen their understanding of the career trajectories of gifted education leaders, inspiring them to become gifted education leaders and to encourage students to become gifted education leaders
Learn examples of how gifted education leaders develop professional learning for teachers and administrators to support more equitable gifted education
Learn about gifted education leaders' calls for future research in the field to better support professional learning
