Short description: Results of research of 400 middle- and high-school gifted students in two urban schools answered two fundamental questions: “What are students worrying about the most?” and “What do they need help with right now?” Their answers led to additional group meetings where they shared with one another and received evidence-based strategies on attaining inner stability and positive mental health benefits. This session reports current research substantiating the need for gifted students to have a safe outlet for expressing their concerns, wants, and needs.
