Short description: Creativity is a natural characteristic for many gifted children and it needs to be fostered. To help reach these students, embracing the Open World, a concept derived from video games, gives students control over how they learn and showcases understanding. Participants learn ways to implement video game structures in their classes to unlock creativity.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will:
Learn the structure of Open World video games and how that structure can be utilized in classrooms to develop creativity
Understand best practices in developing creativity and how it relates to gifted learners
