Short description: We analyze best practices to support gifted sexual-minority and gender non-binary youth. This session includes specific examples of curricular materials that center queer experiences and literature, as well as student-centered projects that advocate for LGBTQ+ friendly policies. The presenters share how to implement instructional strategies like sharing pronouns, building community, and decentering heteronormative language and policies.
