Short description: In this presentation, we discuss qualitative results from a study about the educational experiences of children in foster care through the lens of their foster parents. Recommendations are provided for teachers, school leaders, and parents about how to encourage these students’ gifts and talents, provide equal opportunities to succeed in school, and reduce biases and barriers to learning.
