Short Description: We live in unprecedented times. Our gifted children are canaries in coal mines, intensely feeling climate collapse, disease, famine, poverty, inequity. Unconcerned with achievement, gifted children are demanding to make a difference, but they need support and encouragement. In this session, we model for participants how they can be present and attuned to their exquisitely-perceptive children.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will:
Hear powerful personal narratives of transformation so they know they are not alone
Learn about pathways of support for parents/caregivers who are shepherding gifted children through transformational times
Understand the absolute necessity of self-care for gifted adults to enable them to establish a secure presence during challenging events
