Short description: Within gifted education, recent trends have shifted toward a more concentrated focus on equitable research. Despite this, Black and Brown students remain underrepresented. While content analysis may not be able to explain this stagnation, researchers used this methodology to provide a clearer understanding of research trends that could be contributing to continued underrepresentation.

Understand how current research represents Black and Brown students in select gifted education journals and within NAGC standards
Understand how content analysis as a methodology helps us see beyond the content of literature and into the relationships between the elements that undergird the field and the field's values
